Getzlaf to Host the 6th Annual Getzlaf Golf Shootout on August 26-27th

Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and his wife Paige are hosting the 6th annual Getzlaf Golf Shootout to benefit CureDuchenne on August 26-27. The party starts Friday night with Ryan and Paige rolling out the red carpet at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa for the pre-tournament MVP party. The next day, foursomes hit the green for a day of sport and celebration at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point.

“Over the past five years, Paige and I have witnessed the devastating progression of the disease in children we know. Our goal is to make life-saving drugs accessible for Duchenne patients in time to save their lives,” says Getzlaf.

The Getzlaf Golf Shootout brings together athletes, celebrities and community leaders teaming up in support of CureDuchenne, a nonprofit that funds research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Duchenne is a fatal muscle-wasting disease affecting 300,000 children worldwide.

Register at getzlafgolf.org.

On August 27th, the golf course will include a variety of activities, food and libations provided by Jagermeister, The Butchery, The Tilted Kilt, Desmadre Tequila, and more. VIP Sponsor foursomes include an athlete or celebrity as a fifth golfer plus eight tickets to the MVP party. Meet and mingle with hockey players and other current and former pro-athletes at the reception on August 26th at Sutra. Individual tickets to the MVP Party are available.
